Playfeeder

Playfeeder® - a special trough developed to optimally exploit the specific rooting behaviour of piglets for an early uptake of oral iron in dry form.

Easy to install and dismount, hygienic and easy to clean.  It can be placed in a low or a high position according to the age and size of the piglets.  When the period of distribution of the iron is over, it can be used for the prestarter, thereby facilitatking the transition to dry feed.  In this way, the Playfeeder is the only trough that will be needed during the whole period in the farrowing pen.

The Playfeeder trough is designed to stimulate the desire of the piglets for playing and rooting.   Trials have shown that the stimulus is sufficient for attracting all piglets of a litter so that each piglet ingenst a sufficient quantity of the oral iron.
